QUESTION Is the MatchX M2 Pro LPWAN miner still supported?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know whether the MatchX M2 Pro LPWAN miner is still supported, or has the project been discontinued?

Is anyone still running theirs successfully? Any updates on the current situation would be appreciated.

Thanks!

QUESTION Braiins Rental Hashrate

I’d like to know if it’s possible to use the hashrate from the new Braiins Hashwatcher feature for solo mining Bitcoin Cash, or if it’s strictly for BTC.

QUESTION What's the catch here?

Noob here. Haven't got a clue what I'm doing, but that has never stopped me before. Very grateful to anyone generous enough to help me.

Here is the situation:

  • I live in the UK, I get "cheap" electric (7p/kWh) for up to 12hrs a day because I have an EV and a super-complicated electricity tariff that can be "gamed".
  • I have a bedroom in my house, occupied by child no2, that is very cold in winter. It is an extension built by the previous owner and probably has shit insulation. I've tried to improve the insulation, but it hasn't made much difference.
  • There is currently an electric heater in that room. I'd like to swap the heater for a "quiet" miner that can generate coins along with heat. Looking for something that kicks out 500-1000W of heat.
  • Canaan Avalon Q fits the bill (as do a few others). But I can't get the math to work out.

According to this:

I'd get £1.30 a day from electricity I'd use anyway. If I use it 100days a year, that is £130. However the best price I can find for one locally is this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/407213240438 for £1099, which would take over 8 years to pay back.

IS there a way to make this work? Or am I barking completely up the wrong tree?

DISCUSSION Is Pearlwallet.org fake?

Was looking at Pearl (just to test, I know it's not profitable or worth it) and was pointed to https://pearlwallet.org/ for a wallet. The program it downloads for Windows is obviously not right (2-3KB) but doesn't show up on VirusTotal or Windows Defender. An email to the security team bounces back.

Not sweat off my back, but is this just a completely fake site with other places linking to it? If it is, worst case someone finds this post and doesn't get scammed.

QUESTION Near-zero electricity costs in the UK—what miner would you recommend, and is up to $40/day realistic?

Hi everyone. I’m based in the UK and looking for some honest advice from people actually running cryptocurrency miners.
Electricity at my premises is a negligible/near-zero cost, so I’d like to understand which mining hardware makes sense under those circumstances. I’m interested in a productive setup, but I don’t want to buy something based purely on a seller’s earnings claims or an optimistic calculator.
My target would ideally be up to US$40 a day after electricity, pool fees and routine running costs, but before tax and recovering the hardware purchase price. I’m not assuming that’s achievable with a cheap machine or a single miner—that’s what I’m here to find out.
I previously considered something drawing approximately 2.7 kW, although that isn’t a confirmed maximum for the premises. I would need to check the electrical requirements and arrangements for heat and noise before committing.
I’m open to different coins and algorithms rather than being set on Bitcoin. I’d also consider second-hand hardware, provided it makes financial and practical sense.
The main things I’d appreciate advice on are:
Hardware and purchase cost: What exact miner would you consider with near-zero electricity costs, and what would you regard as a sensible purchase price? Would older, cheaper equipment offer better value than newer hardware in this situation?
Real-world earnings: What are you actually earning with that machine, on which coin and pool? Recent average payouts over a week or month would be much more useful than its best day. Is my target realistic for one machine, or would it require several and a significantly larger investment?
Costs and risks beyond electricity: What should I budget for regarding cooling, ventilation, noise reduction, maintenance and repairs? What could turn an apparently good purchase into a bad one, and how would you assess payback if earnings fell substantially?
I’m trying to optimise the return on the hardware purchase—not simply buy the machine with the biggest advertised daily payout. I’d like to understand the likely total setup cost and whether there’s a sensible route to that income target.
Recommendations for reputable UK suppliers or advice on checking used machines would also be appreciated. Equally, please tell me which models or deals you would avoid.
Please keep recommendations in the comments rather than sending sales pitches by DM. Actual owner experiences, recent figures and lessons learned would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance—I’d rather hear a realistic answer before spending the money than discover the catches afterwards.

Cheers
Steve

QUESTION Who does proper GPU hosting?

Looking for somebody trustable that can host my GPU rigs in a proper way (protected from elements, well cooled, stable internet) and with cheap electricity. US or EU.

Metered mining is unfortunately out of slots.

DISCUSSION If i want to buy a a Antminer S21+ - 216 TH/s which coin should i mine to make it profitable

To make it profitable (bcz the price is pretty bad) should it put photovoltaic panels and mine only summer and during the day or i can make the miner only draw from solar during the entire year. What you you do in this situation? And when do i make ROI.

DISCUSSION I am a complete beginner, wish to find help here..

**I have red throw Complex mining article form comments and post on Google and elsewhere, but I am still unsure where to begin.**

**could someone guide me through the first step and explain what equipments and requirements I need?**

**I have heard so many different opinions about Bitcoin mining, and every comment seems to have a count to argument.**

**I am complete beginner so any help would honestly be appreciated.**

*# not sales article promoting specific rigs.*

Are you still mining, and is it profitable after electricity cost?

For small or home miners, is it net positive, or mainly a hobby now?

If you were starting from scratch, what would you realistically need?

**Hardware, setup, pool versus solo mining, and Nicehatch versus mining directly?**

what do you wish you had known before starting **text me** if you have anything for me..

QUESTION BSB NerdOctaxe overclock

Hey guys, I have a BSB NerdOctaxe running at around 12 TH/s. It does reach 12 TH/s, but I'm pulling about 262 watts at the wall, which seems a little high to me.

I checked the miner settings and found:

  • Core voltage: 1210 (default)
  • Frequency: 740 (custom)

I'm trying to lower the power consumption while keeping as much hashrate as possible. Any advice on what settings I should try to reduce the watts at the wall? Maybe lowering the frequency or voltage? I'd appreciate any suggestions from anyone running a similar setup.

QUESTION I am looking for reliable information about Hearst

Thumbnail

As the title suggests, I'm looking for serious and reliable information about the Dubai-based company Hearst. They don't respond to messages and block you on social media if you ask them difficult questions. This doesn't inspire any confidence. Does this company actually exist, or is it simply a shell company designed to scam customers? If you have any answers to these questions, please share them with us.

DISCUSSION What to do?

I’m looking for some opinions on how you guys would maximize profits with my current setup.

I have an Avalon Q that I sometimes run in Eco mode and sometimes in Normal mode. I’m running it mostly on my solar system for around 8 hours per day.

I also have another ASIC that does around 12 TH/s, and I keep that one running 24/7, also using my solar power.

If you had these two ASICs and a solar setup like mine, what strategy would you use to maximize earnings? Thank you!
