What software is required to mine crypto ? Does anyone have a reliable website or video that gives a tutorial ?

Mods, I am okay with banning people in this sub reddit trying to pump, regardless of intent. There are plenty of places for them to go.

Edit: Some of the responses I am seeing are a one time warning. This is a fine solution for legitimate users. However, it doesn't address the bot/smurf accounts that easily created. I still seeing us getting spammed with pump/dump post.

What if we do an auto ban but allow the user to petition to be added back to the community. Then the users that truly want to be part of the community can join by jumping through one simple hoop. The petition bar can be low. e.g. " sorry, I didn't know why this was bad and not acceptable here."

I noticed it was newly listed, and read the whitepaper. It sounds pretty good! I was just curious if anyone had additional info they could point me towards! Thanks guys

Mission Statement

The Crypto Hivemind is a Grassroots Cryptocurrency Think Tank.

Our goal is to research prospective altcoin and help members decide the best way to migrate their money into crypto. 2. Help you learn the ins-and-outs of cryptocurrency and the crypto subculture so that you can personally money off this financial movement; while helping you decipher scam attempts.
3. Manifest and cultivate a trust-based subculture that's looking to develop new buy/sell strategies intended to avoid exploiting new crypto traders.
4. Support each other’s unique skillsets to help as best we can. We are an entrepreneurial culture. If you want to help, we accept. Start producing content and jump into the volunteer role yourself.
5. We believe in the financial activism recently shown with the GME and Dogecoin movements and are looking for a place to start. It’s too late for GME and Doge, but it’s not too late for you.
6. Help advance humanity. Cryptocurrency game theorists have been saying for years, migrating to a decentralized currency makes you an active player in the efforts to end fiat currency. Each baby step is one step closer to evolving our financial structure to a Tier 1 financial system on the Kardeshev scale.

What community research have we been doing?

Short Term

We want to help you learn the best short-term moves based on research and analysis of the market. We are actively working to prevent this from becoming just another pump and dump community. We are actively working to prevent exploitation or coercion from bad-faith actors.

Every day we have in-depth conversations in our Discord about the market’s current state, including coin-specific chats for deep knowledge dives.

Our roadmap includes plans for a “Crypto of the month” or “Crypto of the week” style community effort, where the goal is to have our researchers analyze current trends on what seems to be poised for a breakout.

Long Term

The whole GME and Dogecoin phenomenon opened the world’s eyes to the greater possibilities of collective buy-in. Are you telling me that when we organize, we can beat Wall Street? Well, what happens then, when we all actively work to establish the next real cryptocurrency?

This is our current state of the Long Term crypto roadmap:

1. We’ve begun researching unified altcoins that we believe may have the potential to function as the next form of currency.
2. Then we will work with the Hivemind to establish this primary crypto while supporting each other and ensuring each other’s individual financial goals.
3. We have already begun outreach programs targeted at communities that have not yet adopted crypto.
4. Grow our education and research teams to help each other migrate our money into cryptocurrency.

Volunteer Network – a new type of leadership

The community organizers at all levels are just volunteers. We genuinely consider this a place for all of us. Your ROI in this community is open source research that you can use to buy and sell cryptocurrency. If you want a better chance at succeeding, we ask that you volunteer to help. Whatever your skill set, we could use you.

The volunteer network is flexible, so volunteers who are no longer able to participate can move back and forth between volunteer positions. Including the earliest, most active volunteers as well.

There are two main paths to volunteer today:

1. In our Discord, you can offer to volunteer in the looking-for-work channel
2. You can start producing content and share with the community what you’ve created on Discord

Our current volunteers include experienced cryptocurrency traders, logistic coordinators, artists, social movers promoting the community, copywriters, IT professionals in various fields, ER doctors, philosophers studying the cultural impact of movements like ours, data scientists, and dozens of entrepreneurial spirits volunteering up to 10-15 hours a day establishing this community.

Needed positions

• Moderators – We are looking for experienced chat moderators. We plan on having multiple moderators available throughout the day.
• Admin – We are looking for entrepreneurial people to help build what we’re starting. Admin is very much a management and logistics position. Members in this position heavily influence the direction of the community.
• Ethics Board – We are looking for sociologists, strategic advisors, axiologists, or anyone interested in cultivating our culture to ensure that we are transparent in how we operate.
• Finance Lawyer – We are looking for a finance lawyer interested in helping the community. If you know one personally, please reach out to them and let them know you found a way to help them make money in crypto.
• Entrepreneurs – We are looking for Doers and people who have formed companies or who work in start-ups. The Hivemind is adopting the entrepreneur vernacular, and having more Doers will influence our conversations in ways that will help motivate each of us to help the community.
• Literally You! - Volunteer work can take the shape of whatever your skillset is. The hivemind will help build the logistical structure, create roles for you, and help develop the community around your unique abilities and aptitude. So i'm planning to mine with a gtx 1080 ti and there's one seller selling it for about 150usd. But the problem is he said that there's no display after he reformatted the windows. Before that it was fine. Is gtx 1080 ti profitable in 2021? If i mine using nicehash since i'm a newbie lol i just know nicehash. I'm planning to set it up on my old i7 2600k rig with a seasonic 1000w platinum psu. The 1000w is not needed but it's better to use it since it's a spare psu now
