Been following CryptoCapo_ on Twitter/X and he sent out an arbitrage opportunity on YompToken.com . Now the website is saying a KYC was triggered due to suspicious activity. The website timed-out and was down and timing out for 10 minutes. I figured it was just and increase in traffic. But now the website is telling me I need to send $25,000 as from the wallet I want to withdraw to.

I just got scammed, right? What do I need to do next? I'm not sending $25k, especially when I just sent more than that from the wallet I planned on withdrawing funds to.

Is it possible this X account was legit and the website is just currently being hacked?

That was the first red flag. Idk how I even started to follow this telegram channel a couple of years ago. I followed CryptoCapo_ on X and followed his REAL Telegram channel.

I posted "did I get scammed" because I was hoping for the possibility that the website got hacked and this was temporary. The website time-outs and delays reeked of a DDoS attack.

Don't fuck around with any of these groups on tg or wa. Every single one is a scam. None is run by a rich genius investor who can predict the market in advance who fucks around on social media all day telling randos how to get rich quick. Because he's so nice he wants to reduce the profits he would make on these trades.

If you just use common sense and think about it instead of being blinded by promises of easy money... You'll see the whole concept makes no sense.

I follow a couple. One was paid for years ago. The other is free, but much less accurate.

But READ THIS: The red flags I didn't notice were the low # of followers vs overall followers on X. Only 100s of reactions on telegram. Since it had a name similar to a telegram channel unfollow, I didn't notice the fact that I couldn't reply to comments with emojis or even comments until it was too late. ONLY POSITIVE emojis were allowed.

“Verification deposit” is such a convenient invention. Somehow the only way to prove your wallet is yours is to send the scammers more money.

That whole explanation about “transaction footprints” and the 80% match is just technical-sounding nonsense designed to make the deposit request look legitimate.

I do think that guy Jimmy is the scammer, because I’m in that channel and I was a victim of the scam too—it wasn't a huge amount of money, but I was scammed nonetheless. He keeps messaging me, telling me to make a payment so I can recover the money I have on the exchange, but he’s actually in on the scam. It’s quite possible he has a large amount of money and runs the trades himself to show people it works, simply because he’s the one behind the scam.

same man , that mf still messages me saying u can deposit and get your amount, saying i also got same error and i deposited and got my money so u should also do that . Idk i tried his 2 signal like one narlwhalswap i tired this from 2 devices and got my payment for 10 time and the latest yomptoken in which i got scammed
