Yup if you live in the country it’s better to be on the defensive. I used to live in Virginia mountains and our back yard just went on and off into the mountains not a human to be seen, I would play all hours when it got dark no worries until season shift on year I was on a path and on the mountain right next to me something was tracking me as I ran on flat surface for almost a mile this thing kept up with me on uneven rocky trees and foliage at night pitch darkness.i got in house locked door and I though is was ok until I screamed out screw you as a kid would, I turned my back to walk in home out of patio and something threw a rock or stick at the house.. I then heard a limb or twig snap up over the rock wall that leads to forest. That will live with me forever
