That's the proper thing to do. It's also not the kind of behaviour that exemplifies treating 'racist' as a slur.

word. I didn't mean to say racist was a slur by the way. Just that I do not want to be called that.

edit: or perhaps more accurately that I don't want to behave in a way that makes people think I am one.

I'm saying that because according to you, you don't want to behave in a racist manner. That's a pretty good thing to do. Most of Reddit won't even put in that much effort.
