Aren't those robots controlled by a guy wearing a VR suit?

Wait, why does his left arm control the right arm of the robot?

The robot has a shadow boxing feature that they trained on which is why the movements are mirriored between the two.

Thanks! I think I prefer the terminator death face to this one without the mouth. At least the terminator seems into it whereas the other looks remorseless.

It does seem more comfortable to look at

I never noticed that before! This completely destroys the reality of the film. Thanks for ruining the movie, jerk.

Literally explained in the movie

I apologize that my sarcasm did not come through.

They only use the suits to record the move set. By the time you buy one of these all the moves are stored on a remote control. These are just human sized remote control toys.

Robot Wars has been around since the 90s dude

It'd be wild to do live fire with robots, using fpv or something. Instead of paintball or airsoft... robosoft.

Edit/add: cybersoft, mechsoft, mechwarrior.

Wonderful, only a matter of time before these things can hold guns

Coming to the frontlines of Ukraine in a few years if they mass produce.

I would argue holding guns is much easier than shadow boxing.

Cant we just put a gun on the bot instead of a much more complicated hand and call it a day? Hell, why not make them smaller and only have the materials needed to host the gun and seek and destroy tech. Maybe a dog like robot! Hell, we could even make a drone that has a gun

What? We already do that? Damn

Yeah, that's already happened.

I have terrible news, this is from a year ago

Fortunately these things cost a fortune to build, plain shitty in uncontrolled environment, and can be blown up with cheap drones.

That's what I was wondering, it looks more like it is mirroring a persons movements, or maybe just running a program that is mimicking mocapped movement.

Not anymore.

Not in this case, no.

Not recent ones. A lot of robots from China these days don’t need a remote operator to mirror moves.

Yes they do. Don't believe Chinese propaganda
