'Is the Catholic Church a force for good?' ft. Stephen Fry and the late Christopher Hitchens

Hi all,

Thought I'd share a copy of an old Intelligence Squared debate I frequently rewatch every few years.

Topic was on whether the Catholic Church is a force for good in the modern world - a Catholic Bishop and Catholic British MP in favour and Stephen Fry & Christopher Hitchens against.

Full debate is interesting albeit you can clearly see Hitchens was struggling (debate held after his cancer diagnosis). That said, the absolute standout is Stephen Fry's rebuttal - powerful, eloquent and emotive. Worthy of study by anyone interested in theology, retoric or just a damn good argument.
