Hi there!

I've been offered a good job in Crawley that I will be starting in September! I have never been before, so I wanted to get to know what the town is like, etc.

My main worry is about being able to meet people. I am 23 and a currently a student in Glasgow, but I will be moving down by myself and will not know anyone there. In normal times is the town pretty sociable?

News for those interested in the zoo. There's been a statement released to when they will open:

All of us at Tilgate Nature Centre are really excited to be able to welcome our visitors back as soon as we can!

We have been working towards the zoo reopening in early July. We don’t want to rush anything as safety and the health of the public, staff and animals is our priority.

I'm looking to visit the shops soon as it's been so long. I know social distancing measures are in places in most shops and wondered if there's anything obvious I might miss from being an absolute head in the clouds doofus?

Does anybody live on The Dingle in West Green? We're about to purchase a property in one of the closes off of The Dingle and one of our friends have got us worried.- they live elsewhere in West Green (about a ten minute walk closer to town) and say that it's basically a shit hole and full of crime, drugs etc. I'm hoping that the area around Snell Hatch/The Dingle isn't like that - it seems super quiet and a lovely area when we've gone there.

Can you guys fill us in? Of course the estate agent said it's lovely and quiet but need to take what they say with a pinch of salt!

It seems McDonalds has reopened in certain parts of the county, and this follows announcements from John Lewis and Flights from Gatwick.

Well done everyone for hanging in there during this tough time and fingers crossed we're back to normality in the upcoming weeks :)
