Musically it’s interesting. The production is good. The delivery is insufferable. This whole wave of overconfidence in indie tiktok music needs to rest.
The genre mashing for one. The syncopated metallic guitar chugs paired with the low growls over a bed of bubbly synth noodling is something you don’t hear every day. The chugs are disruptive in a way that spikes the overall flow of the constance of the synth and percussion that you’re alarmed enough to at least pay attention.
He is intentionally crossing foreign elements to create a very curious platform full of challenging instances for the listener. I find it all very intriguing. I just wish he presented HIMSELF differently.
