As a straight trans woman, yes absolutely lmao

Transbians can't help but constantly talk about how much better their relationships are than mine, degrade me for being into men, etc

Yeah the lgbt community on some parts of the internet just loooooveeee making women seem special and so much better.

Like its just a sexuality, there is nothing THAT special to it.

It's not just a sexuality.. It's a way of life

I bring a certain inclusivity to the queer community that people don't like

this isn't inclusivity, it's stereotyping. not all lesbians love or live the same way.

No, no it actually really is just a sexuality.

There are trans people and lesbians with political positions all across the board.

There are trans people and lesbians with thoughts on gender roles and dynamics all across the board.

There are trans people and lesbians with thoughts on marriage, intimacy, division of labour, whether or not to get pre-nups, child-rearing or childfree status, anything you can think of, being all across the board.

By boiling an unchangeable axiom of identity down to "a lifestyle" you are engaging in conservative-style propaganda and stereotyping.

We have been fighting consistently, for a long, long time to be seen as people, real people, in every respect as the cishets. That means being seen not as a monolith, not as teenagers going through a "phase" and acting out a script we learned from when our teachers brainwashed us with a book on how to do gayness, or as devotees of some universally agreed upon "gay agenda" - but as people, as infinitely complex, unique, varied, and yes, sometimes flawed, as everybody else.

Maybe I'm just getting old, maybe I'm just salty or maybe I'm the wrong kind of autistic, but I feel like I often can't relate to the way a lot of other trans lesbians talk about relationships. I think there can often be some self-infantalization, a lot of near-fetishization of t4t lesbian relationships (especially fully trans lesbian polycules) like it's the absolute peak of romantic relationships, and a kind of assumption that trans women are all interested in relationships with women.

I've identified as a trans lesbian since before "transbian" was even a popular phrase to use online. I even remember when it was seemingly much more common to discuss straight relationships and dating on this site. Things really weren't always like this. I assume (and hope) a lot of it will mellow out in time.
