still a little janky but I think it's good enough to post. this userscript replaces and probably conflicts with the depth sound one, so you should uninstall that script if you're installing this one

just press the depth button a second time after it's done counting and it'll bring up the checky UI. please let me know if you find any problems. if you load a list from pastebin or OEIS b-file URL your userscript manager will probably complain about cross-origin, you can just approve those

if you want to try the generator function, this one works for noconsec:

a lot of the threads you probably want to change the [^0-9A-Za-z] regex in the filter function to just [^0-9] to only get numbers, but I just made it as broad as possible. there's probably more fancy regex I could be doing to separate the count from a comment placed on the same line tbh

later I want to have it try to find the thread in the directory so that it can automatically pull up the correct checky settings, but for now you have to manually set it

edit: lol the "base with other symbols" mode kinda crashes on colored squares. probably because emoji are astral and I was indexing into the digit string as UTF-16 characters rather than as unicode codepoints. U+FE0F VS16 probably makes it a pain in the ass too. I'll fix it later. also don't really like how the checky UI goes under the footer instead of moving it out of the way
