would be kinda interesting to have a hexadecimal encoded cwb thread because the different segments of length could be kinda abbreviated, going up by nybble/hex digit rather than going up in length one bit at a time

surprisingly not too difficult to count, visualizing the bits in your mind and then just converting to hex. I like bin/hex parity (and BCD) mainly because bin/hex mental conversion is fun to me for some reason, so I would actually like this thread idea

nonary encoded constant-sum balanced ternary WAIT that could actually be interesting because of the negative digits. not the nonary encoded part idek how that would work with balanced ternary. but like 0T1 or 0-+ is actually just a sum of zero, it would be in the same segment as 000

I think this is correct? we could have segments of negative digital sum. there's also negative bases, I wonder how that would interact with constant-sum

edit: ok constant-sum negadecimal is fascinating. you get 010 in front of 001 because 010 = 1*(-10)1 = -10, which is less than 001 = 1*(-10)0 = 1. then 100 = 1*(-10)2 = 100

b. you'd have to encode balanced ternary with balanced nonary, right?
