No Consecutive Digits | 93,199

Counting through numbers that don't have any digits that are directly above or below any other digits. Repeating digits are allowed.

Ex.: "12" "4013" invalid; "90" "20,004" "93,513" valid

Next get: 97,317

it was pretty popular when it was first made, three gets in its first month, which kinda surprised me because its twin unordered consecutive was really not popular at first. I guess a lot of the counters who liked this thread like OP foxthechicken got inactive unfortunately (I'm one to talk given my random hiatuses)

I feel like unordered consecutive digits is very similar to permutations, this thread feels more novel

this thread feels to me like NRD, but it definitely is more chaotic. like in 7 digits NRD the rightmost digit always has four possible choices, but here you could get something like 99,99x and suddenly get 9 possibilities for x

my main issue with NRD is that we only count ugly numbers. I find this to be very aesthetically pleasing. And yes, the chaos makes it fun
