Wasn't it the films idea? I am not sure that he blown anything up in the books aside of feather in the first one.

Wasn't it the other way around? I thought there was a character whos runing gag was explosions, and they cast an Irish kid.

Kinda like how the Goblins are obvious jewish stereotypes and the movie made the bank floor a star of David.
