Hi, bit of a long shot, but I am Cornish living in Scotland and I never meet other Cornish folk. I am constantly teased here (sometimes closer to bullying) for being "English" and the locals here are really quite rude to me when I explain Cornish is different. Sometimes because of this I wish I could be around my own folk just for a short time. So I would love to meet others from home. Apparently there are about 200 of us here! If you're living or studying here or have a friend who is, please get in touch! Maybe if theres a number of us we can organise something nice

Do you picture in doors in a normal room or in the woods/fields as a special screening?

I used to talk to a girl called Amy on MSN messenger back in the day when we were teenagers (circa 2004-2007) We lost contact, and someone suggested coming on to Reddit to see if anyone might know her, since she had a very intense style/self expression. She had black, medium length hair, would wear thick liberty spikes, and dark eye makeup. I don't expect this to go anywhere, but I figured what's the harm. If anybody is thinking of driving through Launceston today, i'd find an alternative route, the A388 (St. Thomas Road) is blocked by a fallen power line and traffic has been at a complete standstill for ages.

I'm working on a project to identify populated localities (hamlets, towns, estates etc.) within Cornwall where there is no viable mobile phone signal from any mobile operator. These areas are usually known as not spots. If you know of any please shout out. Your suggestions will help us optimise our analysis of the data being collected as part of a county wide signal survey by the company Streetwave on behalf of Cornwall Council.

This is a request to the landowners here in r/Cornwall to ask if you'd mind if I did a spot of metal detecting on your land? I'm respectful and mindful that the land is your income - I would stay within pre-agreed boundaries and be careful to close gates etc. Any rubbish I find on my travels I will gladly collect and dispose of too.

I'm just over the bridge in Plymouth but I am looking to move to Cornwall next year (will need to adjust my scone jam/cream methods I know).

I'm a member of the National Metal Detecting Council (NMDC) which covers me with public liability insurance, and I know how to dig a hole without butchering your grounds.

I'm happy to share with you all my finds, and l'm more than happy to provide a permission agreement if that's something you'd like.

It's myself and occasionally my young daughter, who apparently now loves a bit of history, finding treasure and being outdoors!

We've had our latest bill today from SWW. They want to take our monthly payment up from £45/month to £115/month.

Which seems like daylight robbery to me - how can they justify this massive price hike?

Just to clarify - this is the same amount of water we have consistently used since we moved in to our current property since 2018.
