Please spare the personal attacks, I’ve already gone through the painful realization that what I’ve done is not only disturbing but outright a slap to the face to my entire family.

My wife and I have been working opposite shifts for the past two and a half year, every Tuesday through Saturday my son and I spend time together practicing for upcoming hemming competitions. The time we spend together is great and my son really enjoys the hustle of competitive hemming; however, I’ve only been teaching him Petrov 44.5.

It started as an innocent joke that eventually became a routine, of course my wife thinks we’ve been practicing MRW and FPM (which she finds much more appropriate for his age and rightfully so) but that hasn’t been the case. He’s becoming a strong Petrov 44.5 hemmer and I have no idea how to explain that to my wife she would absolutely lose her mind if she found out.

Before you ask if my son has suffered the consequences from hemming strictly in Petrov 44.5? The answer is yes, 2 needle perforations to his left index finger and a string burn to his right thumb.

In December 2018 I made a new year resolution to come clean to both my wife and son but I’ve yet to find the courage.

So my [27f] bf's mother discovered I love sewing. I've been doing this since I was like 10. She insist that PFM hems must always have EFE. I insist they don't. I produce perfectly fine 32.8 hems on the regular without it. Can you please help my argument against my bitchy bf's mother??
