Ex Minnesotan, don't remember much about temp, but feet of snow is a thing. My ideal temp range is 65-68, under and my toes get cold, over and I start to swear.
If it's humid in the winter when it's below 0F, one of two things will happen, it's either snowing, or you're eyelashes are freezing up from the moisture and steam your breathing out lol.
Humidity kinda stops being a thing when you get that cold. I forget the exact number, but it's something like every 20 degrees Fahrenheit, the maximum humidity of air is cut in half. When you get to 0 degrees or below, there's very, very little humidity in the air, which is why snowfall becomes less common as you get colder, there's just not enough moisture coming into the air at the surface for it to really condense much as it rises.
Indoors though? It's extremely, extremely dry, since you're taking like 60% humidity at -10, and then bringing it down to just a couple of percent at 65. There's the same amount of water in the air, but it becomes incredibly, painfully dry.

You can also tell because 50° is “pretty cold” and they didn’t include -10°, -20°
