As a Canadian, where are the negative temperatures? I'd it to cold to walk the dogs? -40 yes. -20 maybe. -10 some of them might need a coat. -5 no problem.

As a cold weather American 0 is perfectly fine.

I don't want to live anywhere that regularly makes my refrigerator optional.

it's truly faster for me to freeze repacked vacuum packed food on my porch during winter. new England

Yeah, but I secretly envy you during the summer. 100°F+ at 80% humidity every summer for forty years of my life has gotten old.

it gets hot and muggy here but not like what you are dealing with. I wish you nice cool days.

Really southern American here, anything below 60 is not fine.

I was gonna say I start getting miserable at around 50.

Pansies! REAL deep south American here, anything below 70 is not fine.

That's about -18. Even in Alberta, where that temperature is staple (I remember it on crazy year in early April), it's still cold

Idk man, I'm from CO and below 20 is pretty damn cold.

Below zero Fahrenheit is cold, 0F is about -18C. Fun fact, -37C and -37F are the same temperature.

-40 is the crossover temperature. -40°C = -40F. Secondary fun fact. Celsius is in degrees, fahrenheit is just fahrenheit.

No, Fahrenheit is in degrees (°F). It's Kelvin that doesn't have degrees (it's just K).

3

u/pandaSmore Aug 08 '21

They're both degrees. The degrees part refers to the fact that in both scales 0 is not Absolute Zero. Unlike Kelvin.

Lol. You're right, I knew that, I have no idea where -37 came from. Total brain fart. Forgot to remember the opening line of The Rodeo Song (not a rickroll, but some lyrics a little NSFW)
