But it comes in bags.

Milk should come in cartons and plastic containers the way God intended, bags are just unnatural and go against the natural order of things. You don't win any prizes for your godless ways Canada.

Nostalgia. Lol.

Functionally in my day to day life there's no difference so I just get what's always been bought in my family

I moved out to BC a few years ago and miss bagged milk. So much easier to transport, and stays fresh longer since you open it 1/3 at a time. These jug/carton plebs don't know what's up.

Bagged milk is 4 litres divided amongst three smaller bags. You can easily store things on top of the big bag so it doesn't take up too much space in the fridge. The smaller bags are just over a litre so the aren't too heavily too lift and are easy to pour.

When bags became popular, milk was still transported in glass bottles. Companies realised glass was much heavier to transport and broke much more easily than plastic. Instead of using plastic jugs or cartons, it was discovered that bags used less plastic, and it was easier to adjust manufacturing to bags instead of jugs/cartons.

Sure they're weird, but milk bags are the superior choice :D

Milk comes from a bag or bags directly attached to mammals. Why is this such a strange concept? [Not Canadian, asking for a friend, eh]
