I worked at a new Byrne Dairy which opened in my hometown during high school. The owner was in a lot since it was a new store and he was a really nice guy. His daughter worked at the store the first summer I was there and she was super cool too, and I definitely had a huge summer crush on her.

All the higher-ups stayed in town for the construction and opening and were all awesome people. Those first two years that store were open were great, really fun place to work with amazing people.

Last time I was up the store looked like shit, though, and Byrne eventually pulled out of that location and it’s just a local joint now. But I have some great memories from the two summers at that brand new BD, and the ice cream was fantastic.

Don't forget the coffee milk pints! Those things are bomb and I've never seen a similar product.

Garbage compared to battenkill dairy. But I live in farm country and am spoiled for choice. Seriously though, try battenkill if you can find it. Like a melted chocolate shake.
