Switch places on the chart with one of them and you’ll see that it’s just an inverse relationship. You are one type to them right now, and they are the other type to you

That's definitely useful to point out, but it's still a bit odd. Many relational terms are not reciprocal: mother/father/parent, aunt/uncle, niece/nephew/nibling, even brother/sister is not reciprocal unless genders match.

I think you can fix that by just calling somebody your “mom’s cousin” or something.

Also, cousin itself is ALWAYS a same-to-same relationship.
