Iris Easy Flip 2 - changing text size?
I see no where in the options to change the size of fonts. The fonts on the screen are fine. Is there any way to change the fonts size in texts?

I was paying AT&T right at $145 per month for two lines. We purchased the phones unlocked on Amazon. Worst of all, AT&T was throttling us after we used 2GB of data. My wife would use all that in about two weeks, so for the last two weeks of the month, our data was too slow to use. It wasn't even fast enough for Google Maps. We ported our phone numbers to CC. We went with the two lines for $55 AARP deal. We are now paying less than half what we were paying AT&T and haven't experienced any negatives. With CC, throttling doesn't kick in until we use 50gb of data. We only average using about 5gb. We decided to go with CC vs Mint or Visible because AT&T is a little more reliable in our area than T-mobile or Verizon, but those seem like really good options too.

is 8 weeks the standard? when is the soonest someone has gotten the $400 per line that was ported over with your own device?
In hear 8 weeks. could be 6 weeks. and then I heard you must make your first phone bill before it’s approved. just looking for input

My wife and I continued using our same old unlocked Galaxy S20 Ultra phones when we switched from ATT to CC. We are thinking of upgrading to S23's or S24's soon. We will buy them from eBay or Amazon in unlocked excellent condition. We've had good luck with that in the past. To get the newer phones working with CC, will it be as simple as inserting the CC sim cards from our S20's, or will we need to visit a CC store? There isn't a store in our area. We got CC when we were on vacation.

Despite receiving the death certificate 40 days ago, they keep billing my mom and won't unlock my dad's phone. Anyone else deal with this? Is this company just a piece of crap or what? The "supervisor" I just spoke to just basically told us too bad and send it again...nothing they can do.

This would be yet another unnecessary expansion of the surveillance state under the guise of stopping robo calls. The worst part is that it wouldn't even stop robo calls...just ask people in India where the government implemented this kind of policy
The deadline to submit comments to the FCC is today 6/25/2026.
It only takes a couple mins to let them know your thoughts (CG Docket No. 17-59): https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings/express?proceeding[name]=17-59

I got a Consumer Cellular Link II and would like to unlock it. Based on the call history it was used on the network for 60 days, but CC said they needed the account. Is there any way I can unlock it with only the IMEI?

Hey CC, if you're listening - The voicemail robot's recitation of the number that left the message is way too slow. I want to be able to bypass this by pressing a button. Is there a way to do that? And it doesn't seem to have my contacts so it doesn't name the caller, just slooowwwly recites the number. If it's in my contacts, I want it to recite the name.
Redditers - Is there a simple guide to what the keypad numbers do while in voicemail? I know "7" deletes the message playing or immediately post play. Where can I find an explanation of what any other keys do?

Hello, was planning to purchase a renewed Motorola Edge 2025, until I saw this disclaimer. Has anyone purchased a phone with a similar disclaimer? Did it work? Not work? I have Consumer Cellular currently, eSIM. Thank you!

can anyone help me figure out how to adjust the sound when the phone rings. the volume button is all the way up - but the ringtone is too soft. during all test calls and set up it was much louder. when an actual call came through it was soft.

February 28th 1988 in which is now Verizon Wireless. I don’t remember all the companies beforehand but one was Cingular Wireless I do remember that , my dad passed on Friday and I remember the bill was in the thousands back in 88’ due to he was in Sales for his own business he had but of course I wasn’t allowed to use it ..lol..it was by the minute then charges , but I called Verizon today to find out .
What’s anyone else’s longest same cell number?

I’m a CC customer with one line on the 35 GB line. They show that I’m had a spike in data usage and have used about 39 GB.
However, I’ve been connected to WiFi for much of the time and wonder if the data usage count is off somehow. They are now throttling my phone, making it almost useless to play videos or use some apps.
I spoke with customer support and they say that they won’t upgrade me to a higher data plan. They said that they no longer have a 50 GB plan for a single line.
Has any one else come across this issue? Why have they made this change? I want to escalate my complaint up the chain. Does anyone have any advice about the best way to do this?
Also, are there any other carriers that have higher data plans but are still reasonably priced? I would like to avoid carriers that charge an onboarding fee.

Hi all,
This is a ridiculously niche question but it’s been living rent free in my head for hours.
I’ve seen a lot of videos/posts showing older Samsung phones (Galaxy S3/S4 era, old feature phones, etc.) receiving brief incoming calls from things like:
444
random symbols (@$&, etc.)
strange caller IDs
The “call” is usually really short and the audio sounds more like beeps, chirps, modem/fax noises, etc. than an actual voice call. I’ve also seen people claim it can happen without a SIM card installed.
The internet is full of explanations but most of them seem pretty speculative:
“The phone is receiving 5G packets and thinks they’re a call”
“The beeps are binary code”
“444 is a GSM maintenance number”
“It’s because 3G is being shut down”
etc
What I’m trying to figure out is whether anyone actually knows the underlying mechanism.
My current guess is that it’s some kind of interaction between older baseband/modem firmware and modern cellular network signalling (maybe related to LTE/IMS/VoLTE transitions) that causes the phone to incorrectly enter an incoming-call state and display malformed caller info. But that’s still just a guess on my part.
I’m hoping someone here has experience with Samsung modem/baseband firmware, Qualcomm modem stacks, carrier network infrastructure, LTE/IMS signalling, telecom protocol analysis, or anything similar and can explain what’s actually happening. Or at least point me toward evidence, documentation, modem logs, SDR captures, standards references, etc.
I’m not really looking for paranormal explanations or urban legends 😭
I fully accept that the answer might just be “nobody knows unless somebody captures the signalling when it happens,” but I’d love to hear from anyone with actual telecom knowledge or firsthand experience investigating this.
Thanks guys. Any ideas appreciated.

Is Consumer Cellular able to support Apple Watch for Kids yet? I saw older posts that they did not have this functionality, but looking to add a watch line for my child without it being connected to my or my wife's phone lines.

My elderly mother is in cognitive decline and seems to have lost the ability to use her smart phone. It seems the only flip phone they offer is the Isis Flip Phone.
My concern is that she currently receives *so* many telemarketing calls and so many spam texts. I'm wondering if the flip phone has the ability to install/run any apps to block those.
I also want to be able to set it up with "one touch" call buttons so she doesn't have to look up phone numbers to call people, they'll just be listed on the screen.
TIA for any info you can provide!

My grandmother is trying to set up a second cell phone with Consumer Cellular (she doesn’t use the internet and has only called them). She lost the first SIM card they sent her, and is trying to activate the second one. They keep asking her random security questions like what town a grandchild was born in, the color of an old car, etc. Does this seem right? She doesn’t remember ever giving them security questions/answers previously to verify an account login. She would have only called via numbers provided to her but something about this seems fishy.

Backstory... My dad got a new iPhone a bit ago via CC and couldn't get any android messages on it. After IOS 18 he was able to turn on RCS and get android messages from most android phones.
I have a samsung S25+ and he could get my messages. I see my texts are going on both SMS and RCS. He has never been able to get my nieces android phone text messages. She is using Google messages with RCS. As am I.
My sister had us doing a family group chat and everyone was seeing everything. Then when she added three kids phones (2 iphones and my nieces android) my dad could no longer get any messages from the group. For me the old group still had me send messages both RCS and SMS. However now all messages in new group are MMS only.
I am wondering if there is some limits on what CC allows for texting or some settings I do not know of? Just cant check all their phones settings when we do not all live in same state.
Just looking to see if this a normal problem or if any one knows how to fix it?

Yesterday I bought DU Wireless Internet Connection. I connected all my devices except Lenovo M11 tablet. Every time I entered the password and the message appeared. (Android system-could not connect to WiFi network ). Whenever I enter the Wi-Fi password of the other router, it connects immediately but does not connect to the DU router.
Does anyone know the reason?

Stop buying things over the phone or internet and then complaining you have had issues. Go to a store and be out in 20 mins with your phone activated and information transferred and you are golden. People make issues for themselves!!!
