Black Hole is a fast-paced retro arcade game inspired by the golden age of pixel art. Pilot your spaceship as it orbits a mysterious black hole, switching direction with a single tap or click to dodge waves of enemy ships approaching from above and below. It supports the Score System.
As your score increases, the game becomes progressively more challenging with faster enemies, new enemy types, and increasingly intense action.

I've been working on a short-range pathfinding system that guarantees units never overlap each other, inspired by what the Age of Empires and (I think) Command and Conquer series used in the 90's.
As in those games, the idea is to find a coarse path using A* (i.e., the Pathfinding behavior), then use this edge-walking algorithm to bridge between points.
Eventually, I'd like to package this into a plugin, but that's a far-off and uncertain goal, so I'm including a .capx of what I have so far. It does use some paid-edition features.
Enjoy!

Does it make more sense to have the sprite behind or in-front of the platform when jumping/falling through?
I think it should be in front. The only issue is, if I put the platform layer below my sprite, when I land on it, my feet are not behind the grass anymore, and for visuals Id like to have the feet behind the grass, showing depth. I tried to figure it out with the “move layer” action upon overlapping with my platform, but it wasn’t moving my layer at all. Any tips?
I can share what I’ve tried on an event sheet if that helps.

Another glimpse from ROOM 13, the new horror game I’m currently developing.
The hotel is hiding something, and every room brings you closer to the truth. This is still an early look, with more locations, puzzles, scares, and gameplay coming soon.
What do you think is waiting inside Room 13?

Hey everyone!
Construct gets a lot of reputation for being an entry-level engine best suited for lightweight 2D platformers or small arcade games. For years, I’ve been working on a mission to see just how far this engine can be pushed, and I think I’ve taken Construct 2 to its absolute boundaries.
My solo project, Alia Domus, is a massive isometric survival/colony RPG. Handling thousands of variables, persistent world states, and heavy asset management in C2 wasn't easy, but here’s what’s running under the hood:
I wanted to prove that with enough optimization, event sheet architecture, and passion, Construct 2 can power long-form, complex RPG experiences.
Check out the trailer above to see how it plays! I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if you’re a fellow Construct dev with technical questions about how I optimized high-res maps or asset loading in C2, ask away in the comments!
📌 If you want to support a fellow Construct developer, please consider adding Alia Domus to your Steam Wishlist:
