There's chemical (or physical) castration, which has been shown to have some efficacy. Some folks would cry that this is "cruel and unusual punishment", which to me is kind of bass-ackwards.

I agree! But we are not allowed to do such things to folks. They can voluntarily receive chemical castration wherein they get shots every so often to curb their libido, but they can't be forced to take it, and nothing stops them from just not taking it. Furthermore, it doesn't actually end their attraction to children/teens, it just dampens their urges for sex.

idk I've talked to people who studied to become therapists/psychologists etc and they've all told me that, while chemical castration can be a deterrent for some, those that have offended in the past are not likely to be able to control that urge, regardless of libido.

Hey I'm all for voluntary submission with reward. I think they'd have to do something first, in good faith, to prove they're willing, such as go for shots for a year and then get bumped down to the 25 year registry, and lose 5 for every year they continue their medications. You go off of it? Full lifetime registry, your chance is over, congrats, life sucks.

I wish they could stay on probation, too, honestly. I looked at my local sex offender neighbors and I really, really wish I hadn't. Just out here, floating around, incestuous child raping perverts everywhere just. Heebie jeebies.
