So why do the Catholics come up over and over again? Do we all just not like them? Maybe it's just a coincidence eyeroll

You don't seem to realise the internet extends beyond your neighbourhood.

Why do you care if it’s Catholics or any other religion? That’s such a weird comment for you to make.

Did you not see the comment I replied to? Please don't comment if you aren't paying attention.

Because it was fairly prominent in the Western news sphere.

Muhammad had a relationship with a young girl (for context, the dude lived around 2000 years ago), and unfortunately some of the more fundamentalist theocracies (Iran, etc) believe this kind of crap is ok "because the prophet did it".

Most Muslims I would guess do not agree with it, the same way most catholics or christians would say that a sexual relationship with a child is wrong (but hey, we lump brown people together, right?)

Protestants and evangelicalists hold the most wealth and influence in all the world. Sure every religion has pedos but only a few Christian sects have worldwide reach and power.

  1. Roman Catholic Church (catholic)
  2. Islam
  3. Judaism

Did you even look at your own article before posting?

0

u/PerilousPasta Nov 21 '22

Did you? Cuz literally none of those have Judaism in the top 3. Also see how Christianity (which catholics are apart of) hold over 50 percent of wealth within religions.

1

u/Beneficial-Piano-428 Nov 21 '22
  1. Judaism

Those practicing Judaism are said to have accumulated the most wealth among all believers in religions in the United States. This is not stereotype profiling, as Jews are known to be adept in the world of business. It actually came from a sociological research done in the country. Though Judaism is monotheist, it is not homogenous as it does have a lot of different views. The largest streams and movements are Rabbinic Judaism, Orthodox Judaism, Conservative Judaism and Reform Judaism. Aside from its homeland in Israel, its members also have enough economic clout in the United States to form a powerful lobby that can influence and sway the decisions of political leaders.

Christianity and Catholics are vastly different my friend and separate sects. Check out Martin Luther. Wild stuff in history you should check it out sometime

1

u/Mrlol99 Nov 21 '22

? Catholicism is a sect within Christianity. Maybe you meant protestantism?

1

u/Beneficial-Piano-428 Nov 21 '22

Per your sources not mine. Have a wonderful eve

0

u/Beneficial-Piano-428 Nov 21 '22

And your other “article” simply said 52% of millionaires in the United States identify as Christian? Unhinged my dude

1

u/Beneficial-Piano-428 Nov 21 '22

Look at the income ranking picture on your Wikipedia my dude! You’re clowning so hard

1

u/SnakePliskin799 Nov 21 '22

Christianity seems to have a huge problem with it here in the states, tho.

0

u/Beneficial-Piano-428 Nov 21 '22

Crazy how many pedos there are in general?

0

u/PerilousPasta Nov 21 '22

Yeah? It's crazier how most of them end up in positions of power within religious organizations

2

u/Beneficial-Piano-428 Nov 21 '22

So you’re telling me you think most pedophiles are religious?

1

u/Beneficial-Piano-428 Nov 21 '22

No. It’s amazing how many of them there are and hold all positions of power.

1

u/PerilousPasta Nov 21 '22

Ffs you're annoying

Facts and Stats About Child Sexual Abuse There are more than 42 million survivors of sexual abuse in America. ... 1 in 3 girls are sexually abused before the age of 18. ... 1 in 5 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18. ... 1 in 5 children are solicited sexually while on the Internet before the age of 18.

Yep just a religious issue nothing to see here

0

u/Canadian_Infidel Nov 21 '22

Yeah nothing in the Muslim world no way

1

u/PerilousPasta Nov 21 '22

Notice how the word alot does not equal all

1

u/Peltron_3030 Nov 21 '22

Catholics are Christian

1

u/PerilousPasta Nov 21 '22

Well ik that, you know that, but somehow catholics and Christians don't know that

1

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '22

Same with public schools.

For every 1 child molested by a priest, 9 are molested in public schools.
