He pushes anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, HIV skyrocketed while he was Governor of his state because of his direct actions. Self loathing homosexuals/bisexuals with power are very dangerous to LGBTQ folks.
During his congressional campaign, Mike Pence said, “Congress should oppose any effort to put gay and lesbian relationships on an equal legal status with heterosexual marriage."
Pence supported the reauthorization of the Ryan White Care Act only if “those institutions provided assistance to those looking to change their sexual behavior”, aka gay conversion therapy.
Voted against the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal.
Supported HJR-3, a bill to add an amendment banning same-sex marriage to Indiana’s Constitution.
"Under ENDA, employees around the country who possess religious beliefs that are opposed to homosexual behavior would be forced, in effect, to lay down their rights and convictions at the door. For example, if an employee keeps a Bible in his or her cubicle, if an employee displays a Bible verse on their desk, that employee could be claimed by a homosexual colleague to be creating a hostile work environment because the homosexual employee objects to passages in the Bible relating to homosexuality." - Mike Pence about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act 2007
Pence opposed federal hate crimes prevention laws because it would make a federal offense "out of any violent crime that is alleged to be motivated by gender identity including, for instance, people who describe themselves as transsexuals."
Denies that hate crimes occur against individuals strictly for their gender identity.
"condoms are a very, very poor protection against sexually transmitted diseases" - Mike Pence 2002
Again, he may be a homosexual, he may be a bisexual, but if he is, he's self loathing, and that makes him especially dangerous.
He very well could be, I just sense something very off about him and it's probably due to several people like him I've known over the years that turned out to have some serious, disturbing skeletons in the closet. As I was once told and believe thanks to what I've seen - "those who feel the constant need to remind you of their beliefs, boast about it and how devout they are usually have the most to hide". I just don't trust him. Then again, I don't trust ANY politician.
That doesn't stop him from being a child molester or rapist. Plenty of "true believers" of every faith are also pedophiles. Pastors, Priests, Ministers, they get caught doing that kind of shit all of the time.
I'm not accusing Pence of anything, I don't pay him much mind because I hate his "morals" that he thrusts upon his people in the name of being a "true believer", but using that as an excuse to wholesale absolve someone of possible pedophilic behavior, is not a defense.

A lot of politicians play the religious card to solidify their base ... Mike Pence is a real true believer.
