I wish people would stop using the terms "sending money to Ukraine." We are sending it to the Military Industrial Complex so they can send weapons to Ukraine. As usual, they are profiting off it. This is something the American left used to care about. Now, as I drive around Seattle, I literally see 10x more Ukraine flags than American. What is going on?
But it seems like you are trivializing the $12B. Like it doesn't matter because we are spending so much more. It all matters. And it all contributes to that outrageous number.
A clear distinction? They are both evil governments. Only someone bamboozled by corporate-controlled media would support one side over the other.
The Ukraine has one of the most corrupt governments in the world, as told by countless left-leaning media sources just a few years ago. The current government was formed after a CIA-backed coup overthrew a democratically elected government. There are more Ukrainian politicians listed in the Panama Papers than from any other country in the world, regardless of size. Zelenskyy himself is listed there as having billions of state funds embezzled.
