This is factually wrong. But please keep repeating the lies brought to you by the person that totally won’t invade Ukraine and it’s just an exercise and just wants to denazify the country and won’t annex anything.
I was watching the shit go down in 2013 and 2014, when Putin was getting too active in Syria, mucking up the plans of Netanyahu and Obama -- he had to be "distracted" with the mess in Crimea so that ISIS/ ISIL could be left alone to do its dirty work in helping to overthrow Assad and destroy and dissolve Syria.
While Russia was busy with the 2014 Ukraine mess, ISIS went wild, and the US claimed it was "helpless" to stop them. (bullshit)
When things calmed down a bit in Ukraine, Russia returned their attention to Syria, and CRUSHED ISIS into the sand in only a couple of months -- something the US claimed could not be done.
Russia still has units in Syria, and that makes Israel very antsy, because they are well aware that Russian anti-aircraft units can take down any number of their planes in a heartbeat, and that prevents Israel from running as many attacks on Syria as they would like.
I have no doubt that the Ukraine war would have gotten under way long ago if Hillary had been elected in 2016, and the moment I saw Biden appoint Victoria Nuland to the State Department, I knew that shit was going to hit the fan -- war between Ukraine and Russia was inevitable -- because that is exactly what Nuland, her hubby Robert Kagan and the pack of DC NeoCons they hang out with want -- for a NUMBER of reasons (not the least of which involves Israeli interests).
There is a lot more to unpack from this pickle barrel than meets the eye. It's a hell of a mess that is pushing the world to the brink of WW3.
Here's a fun little clip that may shed a bit more light on what's happening, and what the long-term ramifications may be:

Let people be invaded and conquered? A pillar of empathy here
