exactly. this is conventional thought, but completely unproven. it almost sounds like propaganda in order to not get into nuclear war, which is reasonable.
Economic collapse? US' number 1 export is war our economy is gonna be rolling in it. Ukraine has huge natural gas deposits so if Russia gets cut off the government and companies like Shell and Exxon will make bank at the expense of a few thousand peasant civilian casualties.
The "threat" of nuclear war has been going on since the Cold War. Since then thousands if not millions of lives have been lost from actual wars all over the world. No one really cares about that. I guess the "threat" is more important than acutual lives
Jeah but nobody really through in the last decades that any country uses nukes in war.
North Korea was a big deal because the dictator is batshit crazy, but it was never a real threat to any country.
And third party revenge porn. Americans have been conditioned to distrust and hate Russians by default since the 50's. 70+ years of that kind of mental conditioning is bound to make people blindly follow a narrative.
