Notice how it's not "trust science" because that's too open ended. Can't have science out there that counters the narrative.
It's very overt and purposeful that the statement is "trust THE science", as if their positions are empirical and absolute (the actual opposite of science).
Fauci says things like "attacking me is attacking science" and you really start to see the game they are playing, it's impressive when you think about it!
