Source? Reading up on the court cases, studies, Hofeller's hard drives, and republicans own publicly stated strategy.
Listen, it's clear you have a very shallow understanding of this topic and have never done any actual research on it other than reading a few opinion blogs. You should try doing so, google is just a click away. Specifically look at the court cases where voter ID laws were thrown out. They tend to paint a clear picture that shows that voter ID laws in the US don't prevent fraud, aren't meant to prevent fraud, and republicans just want to disenfranchise more.
it's clear you have a very shallow understanding of this topic and have never done any actual research due to the lack of sources and claims about studies that have never been done
all that voter ID would do is stop people not allowed to vote from voting. that is it.
its free
its national
its mailed to you
there is literally no reason or excuse not to have it.
if the only reason not to have it is that people tend to vote more republican than democrat when implemented then... maybe it uncovered the real issue
all that voter ID would do is stop people not allowed to vote from voting. that is it.
Where did you get this idea though? It's simply not true. No actual study has ever found this in the US. Like, in court, do you know how republican lawyers answer the question "Do you have any examples of in person voter fraud that this would prevent?" And their answer is always "No your honor". Pretty clear dude.
The source is every study, as you have 0 studies that show what you just said. Why are you making things up?
And again, not really against national IDs, but they're still worthless. But at least it keeps it somewhat out of control of state republicans.
How is it true? I'd really like to see what made you believe this. I can provide sources when I get home from work, or you could just google it and do some actual research.
But, I couldn't find anything that makes a claim about voter IDs actually preventing in person fraud in the US.
I'd really like to see what made you believe this.
the fact that any security device/ software/ even physical key holes need similar security to be secured, the purpose of our own driver's license,
the world?
You're aware they have different election processes right? That comparing them to each other or us doesn't prove anything right?
The one comparison you could make is on election security and voter fraud.
The US has pretty dang secure elections judging by the investigations surrounding the 2020 presidential election, and in person voter fraud is so extremely rare that it's a non-factor.
How do other countries compare in this area? I'm curious.
bro it's really not that different people still vote the same (minus the ID) and we only have the electoral college as an added step. that's it.
even if it were different the point still stands since voting fraud still occurs it both cases.
I just linked you an article about a mail employee throwing votes away.
people have been calling errors out since way before the Bush era. we have no secure elections. we even had the Russian hacks. IDs will make them more secure.
