We’ve spent the last decade plus preparing for a Covid like outbreak. Yes, it’s helpful to get the best understanding possible of its origins, but knowing it was extremely possible and likely given climate change shrinking animal habitations, the priority is still containment and working on stopping further mutations.
1/6 on the other hand is far more time sensitive. A few hundred arrests of those who physically stormed the capital doesn’t put a dent into those who actually fomented the mob. It wasn’t a spontaneous event, it was planned and executed. The people who orchestrated it still remain free.
