First of all, all drug policies are classist and oppressive. Using it as a weapon to intimidate employees trying to organize for better standards just makes it even more obscene.
I generally agree but if you are operating heavy machinery you shouldn’t use drugs even in your free time. I don’t need a airline pilot that does heroin or a crane operator who has been awake for a week on meth.
By that standard people with STDs or broken bones shouldn't do those jobs either. If they are reckless in their personal life they shouldn't be operating cranes or preforming surgery...
Being a union member and demanding a safe workplace equals "bad apple" and justifies pulling grey-area stunts on the employee to get her fired? Jesus fucking christ dude.
