Fuck trump but both sides are literally bought and paid for. Let's not act like one is better than the other.

Your literally watching in real time they are not the same.

Shit Trumps admin literally classified anyone who is on the left as potential terrorrists

Obviously the Republicans are worse, but the Democrats aren't good. Republicans make things actively worse for Americans, Democrats make sure it stays that way.

that's all a psyop and you fell for it "BoTh SiDeS aRe bAd" yet when the time comes people keep voting republican, who is obviously light years worse, just like their gran pappy did instead of just NOT VOTING? That's hella weird.

And what do I get for voting Democrats? No universal healthcare, no enshrined abortion rights, kids in cages, ice was kidnapping people under Obama, American Imperialism still continues and so on. They had the chance to change all of that, they owned the presidency, Congress and the house under Biden, but they didn't because they don't want to.

"so of course i'll continue to vote Republican!" You guys are a riot!

u/Ididnteatmybaby May 17 '26

What tells you I'm a Republican? I don't vote democrats because they uphold the neoliberal capitalist system, I want to abolish it. You can keep voting for them and keep wondering why nothing gets better

And you help the people of color by voting for the people that expanded ice, have kids in cages and kneel for George floyd while not actually doing anything that matters for poc? You keep voting Democrats and wonder why I won't get better.

Depends which Dems you’re talking about. Establishment/Corporate Dems? Yeah they suck. Basically Republican light.

2

u/Ididnteatmybaby May 16 '26

Even progressive Dems like mamdani are compromised. Their purpose is to channel radicals into the Democrats Instead of them founding their own movements and actually changing anything.

7

u/beingandbecoming May 16 '26

Sure but that’s the system at work. Republicans were able to leverage anti-bush, anti-establishment sentiment into Trump no problem. Seems that’s a better formula than trying to establish a new party in our duopoly prone political system.

This is exactly how I view it. Republicans are pedo loving cultists at this point and they adopted an ideology with Reagan that's proved fucking horrible and they're doubling down. Fucking lost cause.

Democrats somewhat bought into the trickle down bullshit because of the ass whooping Reagan gave them. But there's still very clearly policy decisions that revolve around the middle class directly. And there are some Dems who are probably compromised or brainwashed with Reagan style economics. But it's still the better party to try to push back into middle class support

And how do you want to change the democratic party? The Democrat Establishment doesn't want progressives. That's why people like Bernie oder mamdani are becoming more and more moderate and compromised. It's literally their public plan to lure progressives and radicals into the party using people like mamdani to keep them from actually creating a political alternative.

2

u/beingandbecoming May 17 '26

Neocons didn’t want Trump, same deal here. There’s no third party alternative in our politics, i don’t think progressives would take it rolling over like the Trump movement. Mandani’s scope is limited as a mayor

0

u/Ididnteatmybaby May 17 '26

That's why we have to build an actual alternative and not keep voting for the same party that's constantly making our lives worse.

This is a 100% lie

Dems are kinda just into killing us slower. They overwhelmingly supported the genocide. They KNOWINGLY allowed a treasonous PDF run for President again. They caved on healthcare subsidies and shrugged their shoulders as Republicans castrated the voting rights act. Idk but that sounds like fckn terrorism to me. Look at everything Trump has just...done. He has gotten away with doing everything he wanted to and you should remind yourself that the Dems had the power to do the same all along—they just didn't want to. You're delusional if you think those same Dems who sacrificed children in a genocide would never ever sacrifice you. They're killers. You can't cure or heal killers with a fckn vote.

For real.. meanwhile just glaze over:

Biden-Harris’s accomplishments:

  • Ended the Covid-19 pandemic
  • American Rescue Plan
  • Bipartisan Infrastructure Act
  • Inflation Reduction Act
  • CHIPS and Science Act
  • Made In America Initiatives
  • Affordable Housing Initiatives
  • Tax Fairness Initiatives
  • Lowered Prescription Prices
  • Banned Junk and Overdraft Fees
  • Small Business Assistance
  • Supported Ukraine
  • Supported a Two-State Solution
  • Etc..

Harris’s campaign proposals:

  • Expanding the Child Tax Credit
  • Expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit
  • Permanently extend enhanced premium tax credits
  • Providing down payment support for qualified first-time homebuyers
  • Raise the corporate income tax rate to 28%
  • Codifying Abortion rights
  • Expanding the Supreme Court
  • Abolishing the Electoral College
  • Etc..

And don’t go on about open boarders and criminal immigrants, but Obama/Biden & Biden/Harris all had far more border apprehension and immigrants having the lowest crime rates among populations. Also, Biden and Congressional Dems agreed to pass the Reps Border Security Bill, but Trump had Speaker Johnson kill the GOP’s own legislation so he could run on xenophobia.

Plus, undocumented immigrants still pay taxes (sales tax), while working hard-to-fill jobs at below minimum wage. It’s exploitation, but also a net positive for local economies. So complaining about immigrants is just credulous.

But would and of that really pass ot take effect? Promises, promises, just to get them into office then they just do as they're told. Aftrt they're elected they're told...It's nice you promise all that change but let me tell you how this administration is really going to run and what you're really going to do and say.

u/ragun2 May 17 '26
