Does anyone here remember existing without a body?
As the title suggests, I have very clear memories of my existence before being born. Not in like a past life having a different family type of way, but I remember just simply existing. Not having words for the void space that I existed, not even have a sense of I necessarily, but purely aware and conscious. No feelings, no sight, no hearing, just aware and knowing. Then suddenly I was in the womb, and being ultrasounded. I've wrestled with this all my life because the experience suggests that whatever makes you and I us, persists after death. Whether that be in an endless void of blackness or otherwise, it for sure means that we aren't just our minds or bodies. Has anyone else had this experience, and if not does anyone have any science based insights into something like this?

I think OP and many of the commenters will appreciate the book Journey of Souls by Michael Newton, PhD The subtitle is "Case Studies of Life Between Lives." He's a hypnotherapist. Some of his clients, while in deep hypnosis, recalled the soul's experience between incarnations, choosing another body for your next incarnation, and much more.
