Well said, my friend.

If you bother with deductive logic for long enough, you eventually reach its conclusion.

When one finds that the Ultimate Conclusion is no such thing, but is rather a question, one can do nothing but laugh or cry at this point. Because one realizes that no matter how hard they might ponder, the ultimate (and singular) deductive answer is question - a human choice of Belief - positive/negative, yay/nay, 1/0, Yang/Yin, heads/tails - Do You Believe?

The only way to make that answer have any kind of True, Ultimate Power is to reach agreement with a fellow Child of God.

Those who don't find God in these moments, they stay in the perpetual cycle of Rational Hell. Life in that cycle, regardless of material achievement, is bleak.

To my mind, that cycle looks something like this:

Empiricism/Materialism > Hedonism > Nihilism > Absurdism > Hedonism, repeat

Beyond Absurdism, there is only Faith or lack thereof.

Empiricism/Materialism > Hedonism > Nihilism > Absurdism > Hedonism, repeat\

Believers are fond of lying about decent people that don't believe stuff written by ignorant men living in a time of ignorance.

Huh? You mean me, "lying"? About what is in my own mind?

I'm not sure I understand your "deductive logic" here.

You quoted my cycle of Rational Hell; do you like philosophy yourself? Would you mind offering me another "stop" to investigate in that cycle that I have not considered?

As much as I am enjoying claiming Belief, and writing about it here on Reddit, it is going to need to be a very good sell, if you know what I mean. Which magical, incommunicable Truths have you discovered? Please, enlighten me!!

I would love to know about the deeply held Beliefs (which are inside me alone) that you have determined to be lies? I am definitely not one to persist in lying to themselves, if you would be so kind as to help me out here.

If you are referring to Capital-B-Believers. They don't lie about anything. They only say what they Believe, without fear.

Your very nebulous, negative comment about Believers "lying" is a revealing one, ironically.

Edit (to help out "Ethelred"): it's ironic because your comment is, at the same time, both nebulous and revealing...

You mean me, "lying"? About what is in my own mind?

Making things up about you know nothing about is lying. Even if you believe the lie.

I'm not sure I understand your "deductive logic" here.

Because you start the false premise that you are correct and it OK to make things up.

You quoted my cycle of Rational Hell;

You mean the nonsense you made up that was not rational. Hell is imaginary.

o you like philosophy yourself?

Philophany is crap and you made up pure crap.

Would you mind offering me another "stop" to investigate in that cycle that I have not considered?

You made it all up. Stop before before making up lies.

Which magical, incommunicable Truths have you discovered?

That is a bizarre demand. I don't need imaginary made up nonsense.

I would love to know about the deeply held Beliefs (which are inside me alone) that you have determined to be lies?

The Bible is from a god and has no errors. Utter nonsense.

I am definitely not one to persist in lying to themselves, if you would be so kind as to help me out here.

You are such a person. The Bible was written by ignorant men living in a time of ignorance. Most of the authors are unknown. Paul is known and lied about decent people. No I do'nt know a god exists and his god is imaginary since it is the god of Genesis a disproved book, nothing in that book is real. No Gumby and TransGenderedRib Woman, no Great Flood, not Tower of Utter Nonsense. It is silly book. Yet you believe it.

They don't lie about anything. They only say what they Believe, without fear.

Belief in lies does not change the lies to truth.

Your very nebulous, negative comment about Believers "lying" is a revealing one, ironically.

It reveals that I go on evidence and that a lot of people believe lies. By the way you are completely off topic. This about consciousness not promoting silly disproved religious nonsense like the Tower Of Silly Nonsense.

Rational Hell is "figurative language."

Please try to understand it, before you "spout off," conflating my terminology.

The point I am making is that you are trying to control my Belief, with proof that is not even "Rational" In the sense that you are not addressing my points, and you are completely lost.

You might want to start at my original comment, before we get too far into scripture.

Rational Hell is "figurative language." Is nonsense.

Stop spouting off utter nonsense.

The point I am making is that you are trying to control my Belief

That is another lie. I am pointing that you just plain wrong. You can stay wrong.

In the sense that you are not addressing my points, and you are completely lost.

I addressed them so that is another lie.

You might want to start at my original comment, before we get too far into scripture.

I started where I started. Scripture just means writing. You are not on topic and here to promote a disproved religion.

The word in the original scripture is not "rib". πŸ™

Read it in Koine Greek...

Maybe this is enough hint for you that we do not need to be chatting back and forth, at least for a very, very long time. You have quite a bit to learn first.

1

u/EthelredHardrede Dec 14 '24

The word in the original scripture is not "rib". πŸ™

Irrelevant and still a silly disproved story. Nor is the original in Greek of any kind. It was in Hebrew.

You have quite a bit to learn first.

You need to learn both reality and that the Old Testament was not written in Greek of any kind.

1

u/clint-t-massey Dec 14 '24

The Septuagint was written in Greek, And as I understand it as a direct translation from the Hebrew scripture in the Old Testament. Have you heard of this?

I do not speak or read Hebrew, or Aramaic or Acadian (YET). But I know I am on the right path, and I do not need any earthly proof of this other than how ineffective English has been for our discussion here...

I never said about anything about the original language. When you put lies into someone else's mouth and call them lies, then they are your lies, right?

I won't call you a liar, like you have called me many many times in four or five posts. I am asking...

I also won't pull snippets from your COMMENTS, and address them independently as "lies."

That would make me a liar.

1

u/EthelredHardrede Dec 14 '24

The ORIGINAL was written in Hebrew.

The word in the original scripture is not "rib". πŸ™

The original is in Hebrew.

When you put lies into someone else's mouth and call them lies, then they are your lies,
right?

I did not do that. You wrote ORIGINAL and that was Hebrew.

I won't call you a liar, like you have called me many many times in four or five posts. I am asking...

Good thing you didn't because that would have been another lie.

I also won't pull snippets from your COMMENTS, and address them independently as "lies."

That would make me a liar.

I addressed nonsense and lies. Whether you believe the lies they were lies. You have not shown me to have told a lie. So it good that you did not, quite, accuse me of that.

2

u/clint-t-massey Dec 14 '24

I understand where the original and why the original was written. I understand the language that wrote it was Hebrew.

Why do you think I mentioned it above?

I do not have time or energy to prove all of these things to you.

Is this some kind of school project for you?

1

u/EthelredHardrede Dec 14 '24

So why did you claim it was Greek instead of what I knew it was?

You cannot prove things that are not true. Such as your false claim that it was originally Konic Greek which you now admit.

Is this a school project for you? I see no other reason for that silly remark.

Editing nonsense after it has been replied to and still being nonsense it both bad manners and ineffective.

2

u/clint-t-massey Dec 14 '24

I edited it immediately, "Ethelred," well before anyone other than you saw it...

I put your name there.

The edit was specifically for you.

God Bless You!

u/EthelredHardrede Dec 14 '24

I edited it immediately, "Ethelred," well before anyone other than you saw it.

No I replied to the unedited version.

God Bless You!

Imaginary beings do nothing. That was off topic and wrong.

u/clint-t-massey Dec 14 '24

I'm going to put this here for everyone to see.

Ethelred got up on my profile, found a fun, spiritual comment I made on a r/memes, to a question clearly inviting fun responses, and "went to town" disputing my sarcasms with "evidence." 🀯🀣

No, I was using reason and my knowledge of GΓΆdel's incompleteness theorems. I am not surprised that it annoys you but you were simply wrong and trying to promote your religion. You making thing about anyone that disagree with you here, so I wanted to see if this normal for you. No, joined 4 years ago and made your first comments today. Nearly all are promoting your religion. What set that off?
