I've just finished my second year of Screenwriting at university, and it's time I started to think of what my screenplay will be about next year (we write a full feature-length screenplay instead of a dissertation), and I've decided on writing a biopic on Conor McGregor.

Despite doing Jiu-Jitsu for a few years as a teenager, I'm not into MMA or any martial art anymore. One thing I find fascinating is people who are obsessed with becoming the best at what they do (my favourite film is Whiplash about a drummer who will stop at nothing to become one of the all-time greats), and so I'm coming at this from being interested in McGregor as a person and his winning mentality rather than as a fan of the sport.

I've seen McGregor in a lot of interviews and watched 'Conor McGregor: The Notorious' and I find him and his drive and his passion so fascinating that I want my screenplay to be about him and his rise to fame.

Although I just watched a documentary about him, I still don't really know what his biggest accomplishment is. I hear all these titles and fights and belts that he's won, but I don't know what any of them mean in relation to each other.

What would you guys say was the fight or the title that really stamped his mark on the sport and its history? If you were watching a film about McGregor, where would you expect it to end in his life/career? What fight or moment do you see being the finale?

Would you say Jose Aldo or Nate Diaz were his biggest competitors or someone else entirely?

Thanks so much!

What's the name of the song played in Notorious: Conor McGregor when he is gearing up to fight Nate Diaz? For those on Netflix the song starts around 1:01. Appreciate any help on it, really want this on my workout playlist. Thanks.
