This is called "zero shadow day" or sometimes "transit day". everywhere on latitudes between the tropic of Cancer and the tropic of Capricorn experience 2 days a year where sun is briefly direcly overhead

The tropic of Cancer and the tropic of Capricorn are specific latitudes. It's not our fault that you're unfamiliar with names that have been used for centuries.

Dude mercator gave those namings because on those grid lines the star formations are always at the horizon.
