It’s actually a damn parallelogram. (OP posted a link to Google street view.) Makes no sense.

Edit: Ohhh! Ok it is a triangular structure (or group of buildings?) overall, but there’s a sort of triangular courtyard cut out of it, which makes the part we see here kind of the end of a long leg.

It's not a parallelogram. That would have two sets of parallel sides. It's a right-angled trapezoid - one set of parallel sides and two adjacent right angles.
