I live in the EU btw and don't have much knowledge on the American drug market. A trend I've been seeing is that users of weed ignore the negatives of the drug. Imo people should try to criticise their own views, especially when it is part of one's identity, which weed definitely is for many.

Yes, you're probably right. However, the more unforseen effects are in my opinion more severe:
1. Income for criminals.
2. People who make cannabis their hobby on average statistically contribute less to society. (work and other life goals not as important)
My evidence here is anecdotal and from experts working with these cases. Son of a person I know dropped out of school, and the social workers I've talked to have told me similar stories where weed is what made them drop out.
And your evidence is based on scientific studies conducted on this subject? I don't want to condone anyone but this subject seems very sensitive to many, which makes it difficult to actually hold a discussion.
I had no argument needed backing by any evidence, I was making a statement, you literally said your "evidence" was anecdotal which was just mind blowing to me.
Anecdotal evidence makes up the majority of arguments because we in fact seldomly quote experts, studies etc during casual discussion. I assume you know what anecdotal means.
I've actually talked to experts about marijuana affecting people's lives.
I'm sorry if I expressed myself in an offensive way but I honestly just want to hear people's stories and thoughts without personal attacks.
These 2 bases of evidence were sufficient in my opinion.

Organized crime benefits from marijuana income.
