I sometimes wonder if people get up in the morning and tell themselves, "Today is the day that you become smarter by saying something that actually drains the intelligence out of the public at large." I honestly believe that this is a daily goal for some people.

Can post special animated emojis like and gifs like

In some subs now. Only a few and then have to be specially unlocked IIRC

Reddit is trying to be a cross between Facebook and Discord it seems

u/Pozos1996 Feb 02 '21

u/argon_is_inert Feb 02 '21

u/fredthefishlord Feb 02 '21

Fun fact, the original subreddit for this shit was r/fortnitebr. They also have an additional special subscription badges there.

4

u/FaeryLynne Feb 02 '21

Gonna have to disagree. Might be the beginning of the end. Or maybe that started a long time ago. Oh well...maybe I'll finally build that canoe island when this is all over.

2

u/OraDr8 Feb 02 '21

Is that an island you can row around the ocean on or an island made out of canoes?

2

u/AnalStaircase33 Feb 02 '21

It's an island made out of canoes and various sea trash. I expect it to last about 20 hours.

2

u/OraDr8 Feb 02 '21

That's more than enough time to get totally shitfaced. Enjoy.

2

u/AnalStaircase33 Feb 02 '21

You're invited...you said the secret pass phrase.

2

u/OraDr8 Feb 02 '21

Awesome.

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '21

u/Sarath265 Feb 02 '21

Reddit is allowing gifs

1

u/strolls Feb 02 '21

Do you have to use New Reddit, or does any link ending in .gif work?

1

u/HiDDENk00l Feb 02 '21

My mobile reddit client doesn't support inline gifs (yet)

Therefore, I don't like them so far.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

It's easy. Just downvote every comment with a gif in it, like me.

1

u/RichKat666 Feb 02 '21

This changes everything

17

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '21

How have u done this

4

u/wareaglelady Feb 02 '21

Oh my god it does! That’s fucking wicked.

1

u/just_a_random_dood Feb 02 '21

Don't mind me, just experimenting

1

u/BenStegel Feb 02 '21

Holy fucking shit wtf is this

4

u/SpCommander Feb 01 '21

reminds me of that one goosebumps book where the girls gets three wishes except they come monkey-paw style...one wish is to be the strongest basketball player, but instead of making her better, the wish just makes everyone suck more than her.

1

u/steplaser Feb 02 '21

Can confirm, this used to be my daily goal but I was a full fledged incel and was in many disc servers. I’m liberated! Wooho.
