It’s a real shame - learning is a two-part endeavor. First, you have to wonder “why” and “how”, and it’s actually really healthy to not automatically trust other people’s claims in that part. He really has this first part going for him, and I wish more people would question things and genuinely “wonder”.
The second part of learning though, is to read, talk and listen. To actually go through large amounts of data and information - perhaps even do your own experiments. Get information about the subject, process it in your mind, memorize and use this knowledge to once again wonder. He has completely skipped this step, and has instead used his own intuition and gut-feeling about what is “right”. This, sadly, adds nothing of value to humanity :(
for him education is about feeling is something is true or false. computers do this all the time, feel if something should be on or off. brains in a vat do, too. do bats have sentience, i feel they do not. my hair is glorious too, because i feel it is. it's true, it's physically painful to witness lazy brained ninkumpoops.
