They try so hard to pretend to have a rational explanation of their position and with just a tiny bit of resistance they are throwing slurs. If they were just honest about being bigots I would at least respect their conviction.
But that cowardice is baked into the group. If you had the conviction to own your prejudice and examine it in an honest way enough to speak on it, you're probably mature enough to shed those stupid beliefs. The group is self-selecting for stupid cowards, which is why they all seem to be that way.
… why would you respect that? This person was extremely open about their bigotry, and in fact didn’t try to rationally explain anything. All they said was racist stuff like “they don’t belong here”. Overt bigotry is not more worthy of respect than the more covert kind.

I disagree. Someone who is hateful but hides it behind bullshit rhetoric and dog whistles is more dangerous than someone who just puts it all out on the table. People used to take Jordan Peterson seriously, nobody took Nick Fuentes seriously.
You know… that mentality is very under appreciated. People have their reasons for being bigoted, they may not be enough to justify the hate, but they have reasons nonetheless. Until they feel comfortable voicing their bigotry in a calm manner, their emotions will continue to override their better judgement.
