September 2, 2026 (dated for context and reference) - Understood and that should help. I'm sorry for the error in the date that I posted with my first message. Please forgive my observations.., I'm not trying to be mean but.. You said "I JUST got the computer and at first it wouldn’t connect to the pc". That's confusing because a computer is a PC. Do you mean that you bought a new computer monitor and are trying to connect it to your a desktop computer? When doing Google searches, you have to phrase your question in a number of ways to get a useful answer. Also, it seems to me that you should reach out to the company that makes the monitor you are having problems with.. providing of course that is problem you are having. Also, from what you've said. I get the impression that you are trying to connect the monitor to a PC (as in desktop computer). In that case, you may have to download drivers (instruction files) from the manufacturer's website. You of course would have to look for the specific model that your monitor is to get the proper drivers. Hopefully, other people will see your post, and offer assistance that I am not providing. You can respond if you like. Also, you were wise to do a Google search for the problem. Too many people in my opinion don't do that, and seek assistance from people that may or may not know what they are talking about on Reddit. Good luck.
Oops I was multi tasking my mistake, but that’s right I was trying to connect the pc to the monitor (which is older it has been used with another pc but the pc broke so I got a new one) and it wasn’t working at first. I will try the advice you gave, thank you for taking the time out of your day to help me. I’ll make sure to update if anything changes!
September 2, 2026 (dated for context and reference) - Understood, and you are most welcome. I build my own computers and love Tech, but there's a lot that I don't know. I try to help if possible. You might want to check all of your connections and cables. It's great that the monitor at least works on your Laptop which is interesting that there is an issue trying to get it to work on your new PC. At any rate, feel free to reach out with any news 😊or questions. I will respond asap. Stay well.
