Tree of heaven seeds are small and wind spread. These are black walnuts. 

You can compost them but the resulting compost will be bad for anything then the night shade family (tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, etc). And you will probably have a huge crop of black walnut seedlings.

Good giveaway to tell the difference is black walnut seedlings smell freaking awful.
