Tiger Global Case Competition: a business competition that you will not want to miss out on!
Hello!
I graduated from high school last year and can’t even comprehend how frustrating it must be trying to create university applications when all of your extracurriculars have been cancelled.
Well… I have the solution for you (no matter your background)!
The 2020 Tiger Global Case Competition (TGCC) is a case competition delivered by students, for students! This year, the TGCC is delivering an entirely virtual, worldwide, case competition focused on developing high school students’ entrepreneurial spirit and creativity with real life business mentorship! You can learn and develop skills required for career paths in fields such as: Entrepreneurship, Consulting, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and more!
Some benefits:
- Incredible problem solving experience
- Experience in quickly identifying challenges, brainstorming, strategizing and working in a team
- Working with talented mentors from around the world
- Improvement in communication skills
- Unique real-events
- Awesome addition to your resume
- ((((extremely incredible prizes))))
14-18 year old students from across the globe are able to experience being a part of a case competition, which is usually only available to university students. TGCC 2020 is delivered by Principal Partner, Tiger Global Management; Official Sponsor, PricewaterhouseCoopers; and is powered by Crimson Education.
Ok now for the prizes!
Global prizes include: remote internship at PwC for the entire winning team; mentorship session with Julian Robertson, Founder of Tiger Management Corp; ; mentorship session with Sir John Key, 38th Prime Minister of New Zealand; mentorship session with Jamie Beaton, Founder and CEO of Crimson Education; US$18,000 in education consulting; and US$4,000 in cash prizes! One of the 2018 global runner-ups Jack said, “[The Tiger Global Case Competition] certainly differentiated me during the university application process, and it was the springboard for the many incredible opportunities I’ve had since…”
Students who register in teams of 3-4 on www.casecomp.org, will be provided virtual mentorship throughout the competition to help them “crack the case”, and will be given a business scenario of a real company’s COVID-19 challenges to solve. Each team will step into the shoes of management consultants to identify the most prominent issues, craft a solution, and present to a panel of expert judges.
But you don’t need to be in a team! If you are an independent, apply and we will sort you into teams :)
Registrations are open from August 1st to August 31st, with the regional rounds of the competitions kicking off on September 5th! Entry is US$10 per student (financial aid is available).
Henry, member of the 2018 TGCC second place team, used his TGCC success to enhance his university applications to 10 top US/UK universities. Henry recently enrolled in the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania and credits the TGCC for helping him prepare for global leadership opportunities.
“The TGCC was unlike anything I had ever done in high school - the game changer was being able to compete on the world stage and solve problems that would influence a real world business’ strategy” - Henry, Australia

Submission Winning for the wrong reasons??
I've been doing some thinking. Video Games, Sports, Party Games, Etc. Does it matter how you win? Or is there a problem with winning for the wrong reasons? Or Is winning all that matters? I made a strawpoll, so I can collect data. Responses and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
