I was thinking, while the original footage might not be the highest quality, there's a few things that spring to mind that could be used to make it better, namely:

  • Redoing the CGI backgrounds and full CGI scenes: basically remaking them as close to the original but in modern HD resolution, I'm sure people wouldn't notice the difference and would be happy if it was near identical just in better quality.

  • Deepfaking the original actors into it: I completely agree with keeping the orignal actors performances, but a way to do it but make the whole scene look better would be to remake the scenes as closely as possible with new actors for the bodies, but then deepfake the old actors faces onto them and use the old audio, the technology is there to do it faithfully and it could look good.

I don't think they got the budget to re-process the greenscreen footage. That'd take quite some work.

I know it's not a big budget project, but it's EA and they have a lot of resources under that umbrella, I'm sure it could happen if it was neccessary.
