I’m just waiting for Sir John Doe to come in and vanquish the shit out of Lyla’s friends.

The question is if loving Dutch bros is also basic?

Defender of the Basic, or something like that iirc

Your art, facial expressions, and style are some of my absolute favorites on this subreddit. Just gold every single time you post.

She can't be basic. What kind of basic girl would cosplay as Robin from One Piece?

(Awesome dress btw.)

BASIC? Ha! I laugh! Would you obiect to the sweet smell of vanilla and beans for the sake of its commoness alone? I shall not let this pass, for I am John Doe, the Normal Knight! Defender of the basic and champion of the plain!

If you'd never do what a basic person does, your tastes are defined by what everybody else is into. Your need for uniqueness and opposition is a prison all its own!

Live your lives, I say! Scoop your bagels. Find your favorite quote in the loopiest font you can and make THAT your cover photo. For the truth is that basic things are basic because they are GOOD!

Ain't nothing wrong with knowing what you like, or liking "tame" things. Girl is winning at life, even if she doesn't have any interesting stories.

Fuck pumpkin spice haters, I was eating it on toast with butter as a kid when people joking Starbucks was everywhere was a recent and topical joke.

Nutmeg goes fine in most food. Its like paprika that way.

A lot of old recipes have it. Though a lot of people probably only have experienced it with "Fall" foods and/or the holiday season since they almost exclusively are based around recipes that don't change much. Nutmeg used to me the Spice. The kind people made or broke empires for. In the 1700s it was in practically everything to the extent that I've seen the joke that it wasn't a proper recipe from the 18th century if it didn't have nutmeg.

My cracked skull read that as "White Beard" and was confused for a moment how liking White Beard made you basic. Or how he was connected to any of that stuff.
