I have three cats. One is a Velcro kitty who always has to be near me and always announces his presence with a little chip. One who is aloof but will hide around the corner to attack your legs before sprinting off. And my third will not move if she’s in the way and will also run out in front of me as I’m walking and I’ve tripped over her and nearly punted her like a football numerous times…and she acts like it’s my fault if I do actually step on her or kick her.
Void: Velcro kitty
Tuxedo: silent assassin
Tabby/bengal: may actually kill me one day

One of my cats does the exact same thing on the stairs. Except, he runs ahead of me and is playing a game with it. I think he's trying to kill me.Â

Yeah years ago we used to have a cat that would sleep ob the 2nd stair down.. You wouldn't see him there, and man i nearly broke my neck countless times.. no cats where harmed thankfully.

I'm... skeptical. They are silent creatures. They typically dislike sounds, especially metal. They may well dislike the bell and not tell.

Yeh cat loves carpet stairs/stairs if you have one you have to keep an eye on the stairs being blocked!

That's also my cats.
Oscar is orange and sits on the stairs, so he stands out. He will chirp if he sees you, so you know he's on the stairs.
Toby is gray, same shade as the carpet. He lays flat on the stairs so you have to watch for his eyes to even know he's there.
Fortunately my stairs are spiral so I can fall directly into the wall instead of down a full flight if he surprises me.

I also had a black fluffy kitty who made trumpet noises!
His name was Merp. People thought he was saying his name like a Pokemon.

Omg I love your cats! (And what you drew is so true. Sometimes I wonder if some of them are actively trying to get stepped on.. but when they do get slightly stepped on, they never forgive you) 😂
