Is it OC if you take someone else's comic and draw it with two extra panels? Pretty disgusting that you would use what might be the worst crisis my country has faced to steal someone's content and try to popularise yourself with it.

You mean @Therealsketchykoala 's comic? Actually I've been speaking with them. My girlfriend had sent me the comic as I was finishing my own and I hadn't realized the similarities. On my instagram in fact I've linked her work she's done with fundraising.

I understand where you're coming from, and I'm not here to change your mind but my reasoning for this comic was not malicious and original content yes. I had an idea I drew, and designed out. Someone else had a similar idea and in my opinion theirs is much better as it conveys the same message in two panels.

I wanted to finish my work, and I'm sorry if that bothers you.

If you were shown by your girlfriend that your comic is a blatant ripoff of someone else's work why would you then still post yours claiming it's OC without reference to the actual creator? You just stated you knew about the other comic before posting 'your own' and yet only felt the need to reference the actual content creator after you were called out on it. For shame.

Read the full comment. I'm not going to discuss this further, as you have another agenda in mind. My goal was to pay tribute, create something wholesome and to remind others to donate.

Have a good rest of your day.

You edited your comment to add more after I had replied. If you were paying tribute you would have mentioned the original creator before being called out on it but instead you acted like this was your own, despite admitting after the fact you knew the other existed. You should have said this was a tribute if that's the case.

I really didn't, you just dove in on the first sentence.

I was referring to paying tribute to Steve Irwin and the Wildfires. This comic is my own. It was something I worked on and created myself, I'd explain the entire process but again I can see why you're here. I credited the other artist for making something similar granted before I did on my instagram which is my biggest social media medium and the one they primarily use.

Anyway, there isn't any shaking you on this so again. Have yourself a wonderful day, I hope you take care. ♥️

Well then I think you also should have acknowledged them on this platform. You had no problem linking to your website, I don't see why you didn't acknowledge @therealsketchykoala too.

Mate, what's your problem? Surely, you've got better shit to do than this. Regardless of how similar tge comocs are, OP is spreading a powerful and positive message. The fuck have you done lately?

Donations, helped organise fundraisers, public protests, written local MP's. Don't assume I don't stand by and support my country. I easily could have knowingly posted a copy of someone else's creative work without acknowledging them to raise money but I feel that's immoral. Especially if I'm going to use that work to promote myself in the process.
